Bathroom Remodeling

Bathroom Remodelingin the Twin Cities

Trust Works is a Minnesota general contractor that remodels bathrooms from focused updates to full gut renovations. Waterproofing, ventilation, and insulation are built into every job, not added after. Based in Savage, with 20+ years of experience.

Small Room, Big Stakes

The hardest working room in the house.

No room packs more plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and waterproofing into fewer square feet than a bathroom. That density is exactly why bathroom remodels punish shortcuts: tile over a bad substrate, a fan that vents into the attic, or a shower pan sloped wrong will all announce themselves within a few winters. Done right, a remodeled bathroom is one of the most satisfying upgrades a home can get.

Trust Works remodels bathrooms as a general contractor. Our own crew handles demolition, framing, drywall, tile-ready substrates, trim, and paint, and we coordinate plumbing and electrical on one schedule. Waterproofing and ventilation are treated as the foundation of the job, not an afterthought.

Common Projects

What we build most.

Every bathroom is different, but most projects land in one of these two lanes. We scope honestly and tell you what your bathroom actually needs.

Tub & Shower Updates

Focused, high-impact scope

Tub-to-shower conversions with proper pans, curbs, and waterproofing
Tile surrounds, niches, and glass that fit the space
New vanities, tops, faucets, and lighting in the existing layout
Exhaust ventilation corrected so moisture leaves the house

Full Gut Remodel

Down to the studs, back up right

Complete demolition with a clean, contained work area
Layout changes, moved fixtures, and updated plumbing and electrical
Heated floors, curbless showers, and aging-in-place options
Insulation and air sealing in exterior walls while they are open

Somewhere in between? Most projects are. We write a scope around your bathroom, not a package.

Moisture & Minnesota

Built for steam, sealed for winter.

A bathroom generates more moisture than any other room, and in a Minnesota winter that moisture wants to condense inside cold exterior walls and attics. That is how mold, peeling paint, and frost in the attic start. The fix is built into the remodel: real waterproofing behind the tile, a properly sized exhaust fan ducted all the way outside, and insulation that keeps wall surfaces warm enough to stay dry.

This is where our insulation background pays off. We air-seal and insulate the exterior walls and ceilings we open, which protects the new finishes and makes the room comfortable on the coldest mornings. A warm floor and a mirror that clears quickly are signs of a bathroom built right.

Waterproofing membranes and sloped pans under every wet area we tile
Exhaust fans sized and ducted to move moisture outside, never into the attic
Exterior walls insulated and air-sealed while the room is open
How It Works

Our four-step process.

STEP 01

Walk & Plan

We look at the existing bathroom, talk through your wish list, and put a written scope and estimate together.

STEP 02

Selections & Schedule

Tile, fixtures, and vanities are chosen and on hand before demo, so your bathroom is not out of service waiting on parts.

STEP 03

Build

Demo, mechanical rough-ins, inspections, waterproofing, tile, and fixtures proceed in sequence with the site protected.

STEP 04

Finish & Walkthrough

Trim, paint, glass, and hardware, then a final walkthrough and cleanup before we hand the room back.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

A focused tub or shower update is typically a matter of days to a couple of weeks, while a full gut remodel takes longer because of rough-in work, inspections, and tile cure times. We schedule so the room is down for as short a stretch as possible, and we confirm the plan before demo begins.
