Closed Cell Spray FoamInsulation in Minnesota
Trust Works installs closed-cell spray foam for the parts of your home that demand the most from insulation. The highest R-value per inch, a built-in vapor retarder, and a rigid air seal for rim joists, crawl spaces, and basements. Fully insured, with 20+ years of experience.
Dense, rigid, and built for our climate.
Closed-cell spray foam is a high-density insulation that cures into a hard, rigid layer. Its cells are closed and packed tightly together, which is what gives it a high R-value per inch, structural strength, and resistance to both air and moisture. When performance matters most and space is tight, closed-cell foam is the material that does the most work in the least thickness.
For Minnesota homes, that combination is hard to beat. Closed-cell foam air-seals, insulates, and controls moisture in a single application, which is exactly what our long, cold, damp winters demand from the parts of a house that take the most abuse.
Four jobs, one material.
Highest R-Value Per Inch

Controls moisture as it insulates
Rigid Air Seal
Stops the leaks batts lay over
Adds Strength
Reinforces the assembly
The right place for closed-cell foam.
Closed-cell foam earns its keep in the parts of the house that face the most moisture and the least room to insulate. That means rim joists, crawl spaces, basement and foundation walls, and any assembly where a vapor retarder and a high R-value in a shallow depth are worth the investment.
It is a premium material and it costs more per board foot than open-cell foam, so we recommend it where its strengths actually matter rather than everywhere by default. If your project is more about sealing large interior areas or controlling sound, open-cell foam is often the smarter spend, and we will tell you so.
Our closed-cell process.
Assess
We evaluate the space, the moisture conditions, and the cavity depth to confirm closed-cell foam is the right call and spec the thickness.
Prep & Protect
We clear the cavities, remove old insulation if needed, and mask off the surrounding area to keep the work clean.
Spray to Thickness
We apply closed-cell foam in controlled lifts to the specified thickness, air-sealing and insulating in one pass.
Inspect & Clean Up
We verify coverage and thickness, trim where needed, and leave the space clean.
